EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to authorize a budget amendment to recognize revenue for the Manatee Road
Inter-local Agreement, within the Road Maintenance Resurfacing project 60131 in the amount of
$72,456.68.
OBJECTIVE: To authorize a budget amendment to recognize revenue for the Manatee Road Inter-
local Agreement, Project # 60131, within the Road Maintenance Resurfacing Project.
CONSIDERATIONS: The revenue received was paid in accordance with the Inter -local Agreement
with the District School Board of Collier County that was approved on the 9/26/2017 board meeting,
item 16A46, providing for the conveyance of Manatee Road Extension to Collier County as public right -
of-way (Project #60131).
The Agreement provided for conveyance to the County of a road right-of-way, drainage and utility
easement over a five-foot wide strip of land running for 522.29 feet, which the District needs to retain for
an electrical conduit to its signage.
The required improvements consist of resurfacing and re-striping the roadway, installation of signs,
crosswalks, curbs, gutters and sidewalks; the aggregate cost of these improvements is $72,456.68. The
District’s share of the costs, $72,456.68, was paid to County simultaneously with delivery of the deed.
FISCAL IMPACT: A budget amendment is required to recognize the additional revenue exceeding
FY18 budgeted amounts and appropriate into the Road Maintenance Resurfacing project 60131 in the
amount of $72,456.68 within the Transportation Capital Fund 310.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: This is no Growth Management Impact related to this item.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been reviewed by the County Attorney, is approved as to
form and legality, and requires majority vote for approval. -JAK
RECOMMENDATION: To authorize a budget amendment to recognize revenue for the Manatee Road
Inter-local Agreement within the Road Maintenance Resurfacing project 60131.
