Mimi Watson was a Collier County school teacher, Kiwanis Club member, volunteer and
wonderful friend of the museum; and
Ms. Watson was a Florida native living in Nap /es since 1959 an began teaching when
there was only one high school in Nap /es; and
Ms. Watson was a long time board member of the Friends of the Museum; and
WHEREAS, Mimi Watson gave selflessly of her time and talent to help others and served as a
volunteer at the Kiwanis Club of Nap /es, and the Boy Scouts, and,
WHEREAS, it is with sadness, but great honor that we remember Mimi Watson for her true
commitment and dedication to Collier County.
NOW THEREFORE, be it proclaimed by the Board of County Commissioners of ''Collier County, Florida,
that December 11, 2012 be designated as
MIMI WATSON DAY OF REMEMBRANCE
DONE AND ORDERED THIS 11 th Day of December, 2012.
