To name the Lely Area Stormwater Improvement Project ( LASIP) as a Park.
OBJECTIVE: The Lely Area Stormwater Improvement Project is currently identified as the
LASIP Mitigation Park the area residents would like it to be named with a descriptive name
chosen by the area residents.
CONSIDERATIONS: At the May 23, 2012 Board of County Commissioners meeting
Commissioner Fiala under Staff and Commissioners General Communications brought before
the Board the request from Naples Lakes residents to be able to name the LASIP Mitigation
Park. After consideration by the Board the consensus was that the park should be named with the
choice given to area residents. Commissioner Fiala discussed the naming with the interested
parties and the majority of votes were to name the park "Serenity Walk ".
RECOMMENDATION: The name "Serenity Walk Park" is requested
FISCAL IMPACT: NONE
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: NONE
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners consider the
recommendation for naming the LASIP Mitigation Park to Serenity Walk Park, and direct the
County Attorney to prepare a resolution confirming the name.
