EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to authorize a budget amendment to recognize revenue for projects within the
Transportation Supported Gas Tax Fund (313) in the amount of$74,159.20 and to authorize a refund of
$11,272.35 from the Countywide Pathways fund.
OBJECTIVE: For the Board of County Commissioners to authorize a budget amendment to recognize
revenue for the Countywide Pathways Program, Traffic Impact Study Review, and Planned Unit Development
(PUD) Monitoring/Traffic Counts Payment-in-Lieu within the Transportation Supported Gas Tax Fund (313) in
the amount of$74,159.20 and a refund in the amount of$11,272.35 from the Countywide Pathways fund.
CONSIDERATIONS: Funds have been collected specifically as payment-in-lieu, project review fees, and fair
share payments from the application and monitoring process. These funds are required to be tracked and spent
on projects for which the developments were identified for mitigation or on consultant contracts to perform the
studies on the developments behalf under required monitoring conditions.
These funds were collected in fiscal year 2012 and exceeded the revenue budget. We wish to recognize these
funds and have the funds transferred into the appropriate project accounts as follows:

On April 23, 2010 Transportation Planning received a check from Ashley Rentals LLC in the amount of
$11,272.35 for payment-in-lieu for a sidewalk along Exchange Avenue in the approval of Site Development
Plan (SDP) PL2009-1364. The project has not been constructed and the SDP has been cancelled. The applicant
has requested a refund of the $11,272.35 which was associated with the originally approved SDP.
FISCAL IMPACT: In fiscal year 2012 money was deposited into the Transportation Supported Gas Tax
Fund. A fiscal year 2013 budget amendment is required to recognize additional revenue and appropriate into
the correct projects in the amount of $74,159.20. Additionally a refund from Countywide Pathways (project
69081) in the amount of$11,272.35 is being requested.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been reviewed by the County Attorney and does not present a
legal issue. This item requires majority vote for approval. -JAK
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no Growth Management Impact associated with this
Executive Summary.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners authorize a refund in the amount of
$11,272.35 and to recognize funds in the amount of$74,159.20 and authorize the necessary budget amendment.
