OBJECTIVE: True up existing expenditure budgets

CONSIDERATIONS: On September 23, 2008 (Item 16.D.3),
the Board approved the application
the FY 08/09 State Aid to Libraries grant. At that time a
udget amendment was approved for $200,01
however, the grant was awarded to Collier County P
blic Library in the amount of $242,325.

itionally, $249.59 was posted to revenue for
expenditure reimbursement and will need to be recognized
as additional revenue. Note expenditu
reimbursements not received within the same fiscal year

statement rules and requirements.
On September 15, 2009 (Item 16.D.7), the Board approved
the application for the FY 09/10 State Aid
Libraries grant. At that time a budget amendment was approved
for $200,000; however, the grant v

of $202,171, necessitating a budget amendm
for the difference.

Collier County Public Library qualifies for the annual S

FY 2009-20 LO State Aid to Libraries Final Grants
This table shows the final State Aid to Libraries grant that each eligible library
will receive in 2009 -2010. For 2009 -2010, the available funding for State Aid
grants is $21,253,978, which is 6.83 percent of what would be. required for full
funding. At this level, Operating Grants pay 2.35 cents on the dollar of
expenditure by a participating library during the second preceding year.
Operating Grants total $12,914,457; Equalization Grants total $5,896,164; and
Multicounty Grants total $2,443,357.
