EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to recognize Judy Puig, Operations Analyst, Operations and Regulatory
Management Department, as the Employee of the Month for July 2012.
OBJECTIVE: The purpose of the Employee of the Month program is to recognize the efforts
and accomplishments of employees who have made significant contributions to the organization
or to our community.
CONSIDERATIONS: Judy Puig, Operations Analyst, has been nominated as the "Employee of
the Month" for July 2012. Judy, an employee of the County for over 24 years, works for the
Operations and Regulatory Management Department in the Growth Management Division.
As an Operations Analyst, Judy touches almost every aspect of the Growth Management
Division in some way or another. With all of the changes that have occurred there over the past
two years Judy has remained a constant. She has a wide range of knowledge about the various
sections and departments in the division, and she is always willing to step in and help others
when needed. She worked extensively with the Information Technology Department on the
implementation of Agenda Central and was instrumental in defining the requirements of the
system on behalf of the Growth Management Division. She is the "gate- keeper" for all of their
Agenda Central items, and even during her scheduled vacations has taken time to assist on
pressing agenda issues. Additionally, she coordinates many tasks for the Collier County
Planning Commission and the Development Services Advisory Committee.
In addition to her work related contributions, Judy offers a constant smile and positive attitude in
all of her interactions. She is an asset to her Division and a dedicated employee of the County.
She is truly deserving of this award.
FISCAL IMPACT: The selected "Employee of the Month" receives a $150.00 cash award.
Funds are available in the employee's Budget Cost Center.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management impact associated with
this Executive Summary.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners approves the recognition of
Judy Puig as "Employee of the Month" for July 2012.
