Agenda 06/12/2012 Item #16J4EXECUTIVE SUMMARY To present to the Board of County Commissioners the 2012 — 2013 State Revenue Sharing Application for approval by the Board, and to obtain the Chairman's signature on the application. OBJECTIVE: To present to the Board of County Commissioners the 2012 — 2013 State Revenue Sharing Application for approval by the Board, and to obtain the Chairman's signature on the application. CONSIDERATIONS: Each unit of local government is required to file an application in order to be considered for any funds to be distributed under the Revenue Sharing Act. The application requires the signatures of the Chief Fiscal Officer and Chairman of the Governing Body. This application must be submitted annually by June 30. GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management impact associated with this Executive Summary. FISCAL IMPACT: Proper submittal of the application will enable the County to continue to receive funds under the State Revenue Sharing Act. LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been reviewed by the County Attorney, is legally sufficient, and requires majority vote for approval. —JAK RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners approves the application and authorizes the Chairman to sign on behalf of the County.
