WHEREAS, each year the United States President and Congress designate the first fu/1 week
of May as Public Service Recognition Week in haw of the men and wnnen who
serve America as federal, state and local government employees; and,
WHEREAS, public employces take oaths to provide the diverse services needed by the
individuals of their government with efficiency and integrity, and,
WHEREAS, maW public servants, inickoding police officers, firefighters, health core
pvwfessi4wls and others, put their lives at risk every day in service to the people
of the united states; and,
WHERREAS, without these public servants at every level of govrrâ–ºent, coati ty wrw/d be
