EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to approve and ratify the modification of a classification specification in
the 2012 Fiscal Year Pay and Classification Plan made from January 1, 2012 through
March 31, 2012.
OBJECTIVE: For the Board of County Commissioners to ratify the modification of a
classification specification in the 2012 Fiscal Year Pay and Classification Plan.
CONSIDERATIONS: The Board of County Commissioners has authorized the County
Manager to make additions, modifications and deletions to the 2012 Fiscal Year Pay and
Classification Plan, subject to retroactive ratification by the Board. This occurs three times
during the fiscal year — in January, in April and in July.
The modifications to the County's 2012 Fiscal Year Pay and Classification Plan made between
January 1, 2012 and March 31, 2012 (Exhibit 1) consist of modifying one classification by
generalizing the title and essential functions for cross - divisional use (Director - Operations
Support - PUD changed to Director - Operations Support).
FISCAL IMPACT: This action will have no fiscal impact to the County.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been reviewed by the County Attorney's Office,
requires majority vote, and is legally sufficient for Board action. — CMG
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management impact associated
with this Executive Summary.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board approve and ratify the modification of a class
specification in the 2012 Fiscal Year Pay and Classification Plan.
