PROCLAMA TION
WHEREAS, the parishioners of Covenant Church of Nap /es (PCA), located at 6926 Trail
Blvd. in Naples, FL, ventured out into the communities of Collier and Lee
Counties on Saturday, February 18, 2012 for the Project Serve initiative;
and
WHEREAS, over 400 parishioners volunteered through acts of service to the community
on over 37 sites, assisting local agencies and organizations as well as Florida
residents; and,
WHEREAS, theses volunteers did various projects including painting, cleaning,
landscaping, clean -up and assemblage, reaching out to nursing home and
independent living residents in Collier and Lee Counties, mentoring youth and
assisting in other aspects of community service, and,
WHEREAS, the agencies served included St. Matthews House, Able Academy, the Red
Cross, Youth Haven, Naples Preserve, Naples Botanical Gardens, brace Place
and Liberty Youth Ranch; and,
WHEREAS, the Covenant Church of Naples (PCA) strives to live out its vision of '- eaching
out in mercy" and touching the heart of Naples, Florida and beyond.
NOW THEREFORE, be it proclaimed by the Board of County Commissioners of Collier
County, Florida, that February 18, 2012 be designated as
Covenant Church of Naples (PCA) Project Serve Day
DONE AND ORDERED THIS 13th Day of March, 2012.
