EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
COMMISSIONER HILLER REQUESTS BOARD APPROVAL FOR PAYMENT
TO ATTEND FUNCTION SERVING A VALID PUBLIC PURPOSE
OBJECTIVE: For the Board of County Commissioners to declare a valid public
purpose for a Commissioner to attend function/event and approve payment by the Clerk.
CONSIDERATIONS: Pursuant to Resolution No. 99 -410, the Board of County
Commissioners has determined that attendance at the functions of fraternal, business,
environmental, educational, charitable, social, professional, trade, homeowners, ethnic,
and civic association/organizations serves a valid public purpose, provided that said
functions reasonably relate to Collier County matters.
COMMISSIONER: Georgia Hiller
FUNCTION/EVENT: Women's Network Luncheon
PUBLIC PURPOSE: Meet and interact with business and community leaders.
DATE OF FUNCTION/EVENT: December 8, 2011
FISCAL IMPACT: $7.50
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners, in accordance with
Resolution No. 99 -410, approves payment by the Clerk for Commissioner Georgia
Hiller's attending a function serving a valid public purpose.

The Women's Networking Luncheon is an interactive networking lunch group that invites
Professional women from all walks of business to attend. We meet quarterly at various
places in immokalee. There is no cost for the lunch, but you must rsvp. Every woman gives
a one minute presentation during lunch and then you can network with whomever you
want. It's a relaxed and effective way to network and build relationships.
