EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Appointment of member(s) to Ochopee Fire Control District Advisory Committee
OBJECTIVE: To appoint 1 member to serve a term expiring on December 31, 2013 on the
Ochopee Fire Control District Advisory Committee.
CONSIDERATIONS: The Ochopee Fire Control District Advisory Committee has 1
vacancy due to a resignation with a term that expired on December 31, 2011. This 5 member
committee advises the Board on the budget and operation of the Ochopee Fire Control District.
Members should reside within the taxing district. Full terms are 2 years.
A list of the current membership is included in the backup.
Tod Johnson resigned from a term to expire on December 31, 2011. The appointment is
recommended by the Everglades City Council a resume was received from the following
interested citizen supported by a letter from Mayor Hamilton:

recommendation for appointment, appoint 1, and direct the County Attorney to prepare a
resolution confirming the appointments.
