EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
COMMISSIONER HILLER REQUESTS BOARD APPROVAL FOR REIMBURSE-
MENTS REGARDING ATTENDANCE AT FUNCTIONS SERVING A VALID
PUBLIC PURPOSE
OBJECTIVE: For the Board of County Commissioners to declare a valid public purpose for
a Commissioner to attend function/event and approve payment by the Clerk.
CONSIDERATIONS: Pursuant to Resolution No. 99-410, the Board of County
Commissioners has determined that attendance at the functions of fraternal,business,
environmental, educational, charitable, social,professional, trade, homeowners, ethnic, and
civic association/organizations serves a valid public purpose,provided that said functions
reasonably relate to Collier County matters.

FUNCTION/EVENT: Junior Achievement of Southwest Florida Business Hall of Fame
October 29, 2013 - $75.00
Naples Equestrian Challenge Bootstrap Boogie Barn Dance
November 9, 2013 - $100.00
PUBLIC PURPOSE: Meet and interact with business and community leaders.
FISCAL IMPACT: $175.00
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners, in accordance with
Resolution No. 99-410, approves payment by the Clerk for Commissioner Georgia Hiller's
attendance at functions serving a valid public purpose.
