EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to direct the County Manager to thoroughly review all contracts with
leases at the Collier County Airport facilities including Immokalee Regional Airport,
Marco Island Airport and Everglades Airport to ensure lease terms are being met by
both the Airport Authority and tenants.
OBJECTIVE: For the County Manager to review lease contracts with the Airport Authority
and to review terms of leases to ensure both the Authority and tenants are meeting the
requirements of the leases.
CONSIDERATIONS:
Temporary reductions were made for some tenants due to economic impact and those short
term rates may have been extended beyond the original terms while other tenants may be
close to lease renewal and the new rental market rates should be utilized during term
negotiations.
FISCAL IMPACT: There is no fiscal impact associated with this executive summary.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item is legally sufficient, and requires a majority vote
for Board action. -JW
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners direct the County
Manager to thoroughly review all contracts with leases at the Collier County Airport facilities
including Immokalee Regional Airport, Marco Island Airport and Everglades Airport to
ensure lease terms are being met by both the Airport Authority and tenants.
