Each month, the Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce and the Board of Collier County
Commissioners recognize an organization that has enhanced the community through financial,
volunteer and active involvement in organizations and programs that assist in creating a better
quality of life for all citizens in Collier County.
The honoree is presented with a commemorative plaque at the Board of County
Commissioners meeting. A photo and news release is distributed to all Southwest Florida
media and Chamber members, as well as featured in Business Currents"' Magazine, the
Chamber's website, and promoted through social media.

operates the von Liebig Art Center. Our mission is to promote and advance education, interest and
participation in the visual arts. With programs throughout the Naples area,the association serves
individual artists of all ages and skill levels along their creative journeys and inspires all who visit to live
and think artistically

Over the course of 60 years,the Naples Art Association is one of the major founding organizational
forces of our community. People who are passionate about history, art education and art appreciation

love the connection the art association has with the community. History buffs, students and other curious
and inquisitive people feel connected to and enjoy learning from the past as they grow to appreciate and
support the value art brings to their community. The Naples Art Association is here for the
community.Artist of all ages and skill levels can hone their talent through our educational offerings or
learn about the business side of art as a career. The Naples Art Association provides programming for
the beginner to the advanced. In an effort to increase awareness about our local artist, our organization
host several programs that allow guest up close and personal access to artist. Our Dinner with Artists
series pairs a visual artist with a culinary or performing artist. Together they create an artistic palette to
delight the senses. Art education is a necessity to prepare our workforce to lead the nation in our
interconnected world. As art program funds are cut from state and federal, research and modern
thinking are showing that the inclusion of art as a strategy for learning actually improves test scores and
student success. Our summer ARTScool provides children access to learning the fundamentals of
science, math, language and technology through the inclusion of art. ARTScool is taught by qualified
art school teachers, many from the Collier County School District, and because we are passionate about
art being accessible to everyone,we provide need based scholarships. Our recent partnership with
Edison State College provides adult students the opportunity to take for credit classes at The von Liebig
Art Center. Art is a business. Each artist with a painting in an exhibit or a booth on the street is a
business owner. Our organization provides an important venue allowing artists to professionally pursue
their dreams and make a living sharing their talent with others. Every painting a collector purchases,
they are supporting a small business. Beyond supporting the business of art, art contributes to a bustling
and exciting local economy. The art association hosts four major two day festivals that support the
tourism and hospitality industries as they bring out visitors and locals alike to shop, dine and stay in
hotels. They also make our community an attractive place for people looking to establish and build their
careers and lives.The Naples Art Association has a rich 60 year history with the community and we will
continue to provide quality art education and appreciation to all residents and visitors to the Collier
County area.
