A RESOLUTION OF THE COLLIER COUNTY BOARD OF
COUNTY COMMISSIONERS SUPERSEDING RESOLUTION NO.
2014-90 AND AMENDING AND EXPANDING THE COLLIER
COUNTY MUSEUMS FEE POLICY.
WHEREAS,the Collier County Museum Division serves the County,its citizens,and visitors as a cultural
institution and as a repository of significant historical and archaeological materials which are donated,
loaned,or purchased for permanent public display,research,and education;and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners desires that the Museum Division provides enhanced
supporting services to citizens and visitors, including value-added programs and services appropriate for
service charges; and
WHEREAS,the Director of the Museum Division recommends that the Board of County Commissioners
amends and expands the Collier County Museums Fee Policy,as attached hereto;and
WHEREAS,the Board of County Commissioners hereby accepts the recommendation of the Director of
the Museum Division;
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
COLLIER COUNTY,FLORIDA,that:
The Collier County Museums Fee Policy is hereby updated and adopted as set forth in Exhibit A.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this policy becomes effective upon adoption of this Resolution.
This Resolution adopted this\Y\day of-F ,2018,after motion,second and majority vote
in favor of passage.

COLLIER COUNTY MUSEUMS FEE POLICY
I.PURPOSE
The purpose of this policy is to establish user fees for value-added services provided by the Collier
County Museum Division,which will partially offset the cost of providing these and other Museum
services.
II.LIMITATIONS
A.Applicability of Fees.The Board of County Commissioners shall set all fees and charges.No fees may
be waived,except as stated herein.
1.Government entities shall not be charged rental fees for use of Museum facilities during normal
operating hours(subject to availability as determined by the Director of the Museum Division).
2. Non-profit and community organizations shall not be assessed rental fees for use of Museum
facilities if the Director determines such use in is keeping with or furthers the mission of the
Museum Division: To foster appreciation and understanding of our communities' unique
heritage and cultural development.
3. Government entities and non-profit or community organizations whose rental fees are waived
and who also use the facilities for gated or ticketed events, or who otherwise fundraise using
Museum facilities,shall remit 10%of the gross funds raised to the Museum Division.
4. Minors, the adult chaperones of school groups, and members of degree-seeking adult groups
shall not be charged tour fees.
B. Non-Fee-Related Policies. The Director, or designee, may waive application of any Division policies
or restrictions provided such waiver does not conflict with applicable local,state,or federal laws.
C. Promotional Sales and Advertisements. Fees may be reduced from time to time for special
promotional sales and advertisements if approved by the Director and such a reduction is applied in a
consistent and time-limited manner.
D. Refunds. Unless otherwise stated herein or in a Board-approved rental contract, fees may be fully or
partially refunded at the discretion of the Director,or designee,upon written request received within 30
calendar days of payment or receipt of service, whichever comes first. A 10%transaction fee may be
applied to refunds.

otherwise be a disruption to normal museum visitation will need to adhere to the facility rental fees and
policies.

Guided Tours may be added to any rental for an additional charge of$50 for one half hour or$100 for
one hour. Subject to staff and scheduling availability.
Additional Staff Members may be required at the discretion of the Director and will be charged at$20
per employee per hour.
A Cleaning Fee equal to the actual cost to remediate the damage may be assessed if the renter fails to
comply with the clean-up requirements of the rental contract.
*"Special Program"includes weddings,quinceafleras,and similar type events.These events have a
greater impact on grounds,buildings,etc.and as such are subject to a higher rate.The Special Program
rate includes a Full Day,Full Facility rental for the selected location.
** "Festival Events"include any event or program that has an expected attendance greater than 250
persons. All Festival Events require special permission from the Director of Collier County Museums.
Additional County or government permitting may be required for Festival Events.
