THE TIME IS ADJUSTED BY THE CHAIRMAN. PUBLIC SPEAKERS ARE ENCOURAGED
TO REGISTER PRIOR TO THE WORKSHOP ON SPECIFIC AGENDA TOPICS OF
INTEREST PRIOR TO SPEAKING. HOWEVER, IN KEEPING WITH THE TOWN HALL OPEN
FORUM FORMAT OF THIS WORKSHOP, THE CHAIRMAN WILL ENTERTAIN INPROMTU
SPEAKERS AFTER EACH TOPIC AND DURING THE OPEN FORUM/PUBLIC COMMENT
PERIOD.
STAFF WILL FRAME EACH AGENDA TOPIC FOR COMMISSIONERS AND THE PUBLIC TO
BE FOLLOWED BY DISCUSSION AMONG THE BOARDS AND QUESTIONING OF STAFF
AFTER WHICH THE CHAIRMAN WILL ACCEPT PUBLIC SPEAKER INPUT.

Tuesday. May 11. 2004 and furnish proof of publication to the Comprehensive Planning
Department, 2800 North Horseshoe Drive, Naples, Florida 34104. The advertisement
should be a quarter page ad, and the headline in the advertisement should be in a
type no smaller than 18 point. The advertisement should not be placed in that portion
of the newspaper where legal notices and classified advertisements appear.

Evaluation and Appraisal Report (EAR)
on the Collier County Growth Management Plan
Notice is hereby given that the Collier County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) will hold a
joint workshop with the Collier County Planning Commission (CCPC) on Monday, May 17, 2004
at 9:00 a.m. in the Board Meeting Room, Third Floor, W. Harmon Turner Building
(Administration) at the Collier County Government Complex, 3301 East Tamiami Trail, Naples,
Florida. The Board's informational topic will be an overview of the following:
The purpose of the workshop is to consider recommendations on the findings and content of the
Evaluation and Appraisal Report (EAR) pertaining to all elements within the Growth
Management Plan (GMP); specifically the requirements of Section 163.3191, Florida Statutes to
assess the progress in implementing each individual element of the GMP once every seven (7)
years and determine whether changes are to be made, if any, and where they should occur; and
recommendations for any changes, additions or deletions to the proposed EAR for
consideration at the subsequent CCPC and BCC hearings relating to the adoption of the EAR
for submittal to the Department of Community Affairs (DCA).
All interested parties are invited to appear and be heard. Copies of the proposed Evaluation
and Appraisal Report (EAR) are available for inspection or purchase at the Comprehensive
Planning Department, 2800 N. Horseshoe Drive, Naples, Florida between the hours of 8:00
A.M. and 5:00 P.M., Monday through Friday. The EAR may also be accessed on the
Comprehensive Planning Department website www.colliergov.net/compplannina. Any questions
pertaining to this document should be directed to the Comprehensive Planning Department,
(239-403-2400). Written comments filed with the Comprehensive Planning Department prior to
May 17, 2004, will be read and considered at the workshop.
