EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to recognize and appropriate revenues for Special Services to
the Facilities Management Department Cost Center and approve all necessary
Fiscal Year 2012-2013 Budget Amendments.
OBJECTIVE: To recognize and appropriate Special Services Revenue to the Maintenance
Budget in the amount of$48,623.93 for Fiscal Year 2012-2013.
CONSIDERATION: The Department of Facilities Management is called upon to provide
Special Services for building maintenance when requested by various departments. Special
Service requests are defined as work beyond the scope of routine and regular maintenance
(e.g., installing shelves or installing a "customer parking" sign, etc.) Facilities Management is
reimbursed by departments for Special Services per the budget instructions, Appendix C –
Facilities Management Routine and Special Service.
FICAL IMPACT: Budget amendments are necessary to recognize revenue and place the
revenue in the proper expense appropriation within Fund 001, Facilities Management's Cost
Centers.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management impact associated with
this Executive Summary.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item is approved as to form and legality, and requires
majority vote for Board approval.—SRT
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board authorizes the necessary Budget Amendment to
recognize and appropriate revenues from Special Services in the amount of$48,623.93.
