PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS, Thomas E. Kuck, retired Collier County Director of Engineering, passed
away suddenly on June 16, 2013; and,
WHEREAS, Tom, a 35 year resident of Collier County, worked for the county from
1978-1986 and again from 1991-2007 and was proudly awarded Civil
Engineer of the Year numerous times; and,
WHEREAS, Tom, an avid hunter and fisherman, could often be seen at the Naples
pier enjoying the natural beauty the county offered; and
WHEREAS, Tom leaves behind his wife of 54 years, Janet Williams, sons Brent
(Marcy) and Jon (Elizabeth), three grandchildren, Chandler, Kevin, and
Patrick, sister, Karen Tufts, brother-in-law, Joe (Chris) as well as his
nieces and nephews; and,
WHEREAS, he will be remembered for his dedication and work within the
Community Development and Environmental Services Division as well as
for his honesty, integrity and keen common sense.
NOW THEREFORE, be it proclaimed by the Board of County Commissioners of Collier
County, Florida, that July 9, 2013 be designated as
THOMAS E. KUCK REMEMBERANCE DAY
DONE AND ORDERED THIS 9th Day of July, 2013.
