EXECUTIVE SUN[MARY
Recommendation to authorize a budget amendment recognizing unanticipated
revenue of $50,000 in Fund 188, the 800 NIHz Intergovernmental Radio
Communication Program (IRCP) and appropriate the revenue for radio system
maintenance expenses.
OBJECTIVE: To recognize unanticipated revenue in Fund 188 and increase the Fiscal Year 13
operating budget for Fund 188 due to additional maintenance expenses.
CONSIDERATION: In Fiscal Year 2013, Fund 188 received $50,000 in revenue that was
previously approved for a communications tower development project. The tower owner
determined that the County's contribution to the project was not required and returned the funds.
This budget amendment will recognize the additional revenue and increase the FY 13 budget for
maintenance expenses associated with operation of the 800 MHz radio system by $50,000.
FISCAL IMPACT: The budget amendment will increase FY 13 Fund 188 revenue by $50,000
and increase the FY 13 operating budget for Fund 188 by $50,000 for radio system maintenance.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management impact
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been reviewed by the County Attorney's Office
and presents no legal issues at this time. — CMG
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners authorizes the attached
budget amendment recognizing additional revenue -and expenses in Fund 188, the 800 MHz
IRCP.
