to consider authorizing the Chairwoman to send a letter to regulatory agencies
responsible for the permitting and regulation of Oil Exploration and Oil Well
Extraction operations in Collier County. (Commissioner Nance's request)
Withdraw Item 16G1: This item continued from the June 11, 2013 BCC
Meeting. Recommendation to approve the attached Standard Form Lease
Agreement between Southern Illinois Custom Aerial, LLC and the Collier
County Airport Authority for improved property at the Immokalee Regional
Airport. (Airport Authority staff request)
Move Item 16K1 to Item 12A: Recommendation to direct the County Attorney
to advertise two ordinances which would effectively merge the Environmental
Advisory Council (EAC) into the Collier County Planning Commission (CCPC).

Note:
Item 16G2 Temporary Commercial Aeronautical Use Agreement, third sentence
of paragraph 5 should read: "Hazardous materials, other than those that are

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to approve a budget amendment recognizing and appropriating $128,900 of
unbudgeted carryforward in the Museum operating fund to initiate new revenue generating
activities and provide enhanced services and facilities for the public.
OBJECTIVE: To provide the citizens of Collier County with an enriched experience at all Collier
County Museums.
CONSIDERATIONS: The Board approved a lawsuit settlement with White Constructors in the amount
of $40,000 on April 23, 2013, agenda item 16K2. The payment was made to White on April 29, 2013
from the Museum's operating fund (Fund 198). This large expense was not anticipated and cannot be
recouped within the Museum's existing operating budget for FY 2013.
Additionally, the Museum acquired a retired Collier Area Transit (CAT) passenger bus from the County
Alternative Transportation Modes Department for $3,000. Museum staff proposes to rehabilitate the bus
and initiate a guided bus tour program as a revenue generating source to provide residents and visitors
with a convenient way to visit Collier County's Museums and other sites of historical interest.
The Museum Assistant position at the Marco Island Historical Museum was reclassified to Museum
Manager effective June 1, 2013. The additional cost for the reclassification in FY 2013 is $8,000.
This budget amendment also appropriates $22,900 to fund specialized carpentry and repairs. at the Collier
County Museum, the Naples Depot Museum, and the Immokalee Pioneer Museum at Roberts Ranch.
The remaining $40,000 is being budgeted in reserves.
FISCAL IMPACT: Approval of this budget amendment will increase the Museum's Operating Fund
(Fund 198) by $128,900 from $1,829,500 to $1,958,400.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management impact associated with this
Executive Summary.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been reviewed by the County Attorney, raises no legal
issues, and requires majority support for approval. -JAK
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners approve a budget amendment
recognizing and appropriating $128,900 of unbudgeted carry forward in the Museum operating fund to
pay for a lawsuit settlement with White Constructors, begin a Museum guided bus tour service, reclassify
the Museum Assistant to Museum Manager at the Marco Island Historical Museum, fund needed repairs
at the main Museum, Naples Depot Museum and Immokalee Pioneer Museum, and budget $40,000 in the
Museum's reserves.
