Celebrating 6o Years of Insuring Our Clients Trust
Headquartered in Naples, FL since 1953, Lutgert Insurance's
employees pride themselves in being insurance, risk management and
estate planning professionals. They are advisors, and have an array of
specialized products and services to help their clients manage life's
risks and safeguard their wealth and security.
In 1953, Mayor W. Roy Smith co-founded the Smith Lesher Insurance
Agency. Smith was Naples first modern day mayor. Mayor Smith
served seven consecutive terms from 1946 to 1960.
In 2000, Smith Lesher was purchased by Scott Lutgert, Bud
Hornbeck, Steve Benza, Marc Williams, Howard Gutman and Dick
Baker, and the name changed to Lutgert Smith Lesher Insurance. In
2006, the decision was made to drop Smith Lesher from the name,
and since that time have operated as Lutgert Insurance. Even though
the Smith Lesher name is no longer utilized, it is still an integral part
of their history and organization. Over 20 of the current Lutgert
Insurance staff worked for Smith Lesher Insurance, and a few of their
clients have been insured there since 1953.
