EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Presentation by the Clerk of the Circuit Court regarding audit report 2012 -2 Collier
County Airport Authority: Marco Island Executive Airport — Limited Scope: Marco Island
Parallel Taxiway Expansion — FAA and FDOT Grant Funding.
OBJECTIVE: To present to the Board of County Commissioners (Board) the Collier County
Airport Authority Marco Island Parallel Taxiway Expansion -FAA and FDOT Grant Funding
Audit Report 2012 -2.
The scope of the audit was limited to review of the implications, regarding grant assurances and
attestations for grant funding, improper zoning regarding the Marco Island Executive Airport's
Marco Island Parallel Taxiway Expansion Project.
The objective of the audit was to determine whether there are grant compliance implications as a
result of improper zoning for the Marco Island Executive Airport Parallel Taxiway.
CONSIDERATIONS: The Clerk of Courts began an audit of the Marco Island Parallel Taxiway
grant assurances and attestations based on Audit Report 2012 -1 regarding improper zoning for
the Marco Island Parallel Taxiway.
Copies of the audit and power -point presentation as finalized will be provided to the Board.
Electronic copies of the audit report and power -point presentation will be distributed after the
meeting and available on the Clerk of Courts website:

Internal Audits do not become public record until released by the Clerk of Courts. Audits to be
presented are being released as part of this presentation to the Board.

LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been reviewed by the County Attorney and
raises no legal issues at this time. Any action by the Board would be by majority vote. -JAK
RECOMMENDATION: The Board hear the presentation by the Clerk regarding audit 2012 -2
Marco Island Parallel Taxiway Expansion — FAA and FDOT Grant Funding.
