The applicant (Mr. Mark Weber) who was present introduced himself and had a brief discussion with the advisory committee. After this discussion the members of the advisory committee made note that they had expected to receive `more applications' than the one single application by Mr. Weber. Without making an official motion the advisory committee requested that there be a`re- advertisement' of the vacancy. It was stated that the request to re- advertise was no reflection on Mr. Weber's qualifications to serve on the advisory committee —just that they wanted to have more applications to consider before making a formal decision on recommendation for appointment to the advisory committee. In the absence of formal meeting minutes (still pending from transcriptionist) please consider this memo as documentation of the advisory committee's request to re- advertise the vacancy to obtain additional applications. Of course Mr. Weber is welcome to reapply to the advisory committee should there be a re- advertisement of this vacancy.
