Recommendation to reappoint two member(s) to the Forest Lakes Roadway & Drainage Advisory
Committee
OBJECTIVE: To reappoint two members to the Forest Lakes Roadway & Drainage Advisory
Committee to four-year terms expiring on April 21, 2022.
CONSIDERATIONS: This five member committee was created on March 10, 1992, by Ordinance No.
92-16 to assist the Board of County Commissioners in tasks related to providing and maintaining
improved roadways, lighting, traffic signs, sidewalks, beautification, and roadway related drainage within
the area of the Forest Lakes Roadway & Drainage MSTU established by Ordinance No. 91-107, as
amended. The committee also prepares and recommends an itemized budget, work programs and
priorities. Members must reside within the MSTU. Terms are four years. A list of the current
membership is included in the backup.
Two seats on this committee will expire on April 21, 2018. The pending vacancies were advertised and
applications were received from the following:

ATTENDANCE: During the past two years Mr. Barry has had four excused absences, and Ms. Fanning
has had perfect attendance. Attendance records are included in the backup.
COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION: At its meeting on March 6, 2018, the committee voted
unanimously to recommend that Ms. Fanning and Mr. Barry each be reappointed to their respective seats,
to four-year terms expiring on April 21, 2022. A recommendation memo is included in the backup.
FISCAL IMPACT: None.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: None.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners adopts the Committee
Recommendation, and directs the County Attorney to prepare a resolution confirming the reappointments.
