EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Appointment of members to Isles of Capri Fire Control District Advisory Committee.
OBJECTIVE: To appoint one member to the Isles of Capri Fire Control District Advisory
Committee to serve a term expiring on December 31, 2014 and to appoint one member to the
Isles of Capri Fire Control District Advisory Committee to serve the remainder of a term
expiring on December 31, 2013.
CONSIDERATIONS: The Isles of Capri Fire Control District Advisory Committee has two
vacancies. This five member committee advises the Board on the budget and operation of the
Isles of Capri Fire Control District. Members should reside within the taxing district. Full terms
are two years. A list of the current membership is included in the backup.
Thomas E. Decker declined to reapply for a term that expired on December 31, 2012. James J.
Gault resigned from his term which expires on December 31, 2013. The positions were
advertised and the following applications were received by interested citizens:

Ref: Recommendation to appoint two IOC Advisory Committee Members
The members of the Isles of Capri Fire Control District Advisory Committee unanimously approved
the appointment of Matthew Crowder and Ben Hilbun to this committee at their meeting on Jan.
31, 2013. County staff is in full support of these two appointments. Charles Walton verbally
withdrew to Jim Hughes,Chairman of ICFD Advisory Committee. Phillip Brougham verbally
withdrew his name at the meeting today.
