EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Recommendation to approve and ratify the reinstatement of one classification specification, one reclassification and one new classification specification in the 2013 Fiscal Year Pay and Classification Plan made from October 1, 2012 through December 31, 2012. OBJECTIVE: For the Board of County Commissioners to ratify the reinstatement of one classification specification, one reclassification and one new classification specification in the 2013 Fiscal Year Pay and Classification Plan. CONSIDERATIONS: The Board of County Commissioners has authorized the County Manager to make additions, modifications and deletions to the 2013 Fiscal Year Pay and Classification Plan, subject to retroactive ratification by the Board. This occurs three times during the fiscal year–in January, in April and in July. The modifications to the County's 2013 Fiscal Year Pay and Classification Plan made between October 1, 2012 and December 31, 2012 (Exhibit 1) consists of reinstating one classification title which had been previously been removed from the pay plan (Compensation Analyst), the reclassification of the Events Coordinator to Events and Marketing Coordinator, which will allow use across the County to promote events and marketing opportunities for Collier County, and a new classification specification of Supervisor– Food Program. FISCAL IMPACT: This action will have no fiscal impact to the County. LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been reviewed by the County Attorney's Office, requires majority vote, and is legally sufficient for Board action—SRT GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management impact associated with this Executive Summary. RECOMMENDATION: That the Board approve and ratify the modification of a class specification in the 2012 Fiscal Year Pay and Classification Plan.
