EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to recognize Judy Puig, Operations Analyst, Operations and
Regulatory Management Department, as the Employee of the Year for 2012.
OBJECTIVE: The purpose of the Employee of the Year award is to recognize the efforts and
accomplishments of an employee who has made significant contributions to the organization or
to our community.
CONSIDERATIONS: Each year, one employee among those honored during the year as
"Employee of the Month" is selected by committee for special recognition as the "Employee of
the Year." This year's honoree is Judy Puig, Operations Analyst.
Judy, an employee of the County for 25 years, works for the Operations and Regulatory
Management Department in the Growth Management Division. As an Operations Analyst, Judy
touches almost every aspect of the Growth Management Division. With all the changes
occurring in the Division over the past two years, Judy has remained a constant. She has a wide
range of knowledge about the various sections and departments in the division, and she is
always willing to volunteer to help other departments when needed. Judy consistently exceeds
expectations in the many tasks that she is responsible for which include managing items in
Agenda Central for the division and preparing agendas and packets for the advisory boards that
she supports. She is held in high regard by her peers and upper management and is known to
provide excellent service to both her internal and external customers.
Judy is a kind, hard-working employee who is always willing to provide guidance to anyone in
need of assistance. Her hard work and dedication to the Growth Management Division rise to
the highest level. She is a valuable asset to the County and is truly deserving of this special
recognition.
FISCAL IMPACT: The selected "Employee of the Year" receives a $250.00 cash award.
Funds are available in the employee's Budget Cost Center.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management impact associated with
this Executive Summary.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners approves the recognition of
Judy Puig as"Employee of the Year"for 2012.
