EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Presentation by the Clerk of the Circuit Court regarding audit 2012-3 Immokalee Regional
Airport Dirt.
OBJECTIVE: To present to the Board of County Commissioners (Board) the Immokalee
Airport audit of Fill Dirt. The scope of the audit was limited to the evaluation of grant
assurances, grant conditions, vendor contracts vendor change orders, ordinances and resolutions,
excavation limitations, permitting, and accounting records relating to fill dirt at the Immokalee
Regional Airport Phase I Lake Project.
CONSIDERATIONS: The Clerk of Courts began an audit of Airport fill dirt in December 2011
based upon report of a potential theft, permit non-compliance and/or violation of regulations.
Copies of the audits as finalized will be provided to the Board. Internal Audits do not become
public record until released by the Clerk of Courts. Audits to be presented are being released as
part of this presentation to the Board.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: None
FISCAL IMPACT: There may be fiscal implications based upon the findings including impact
to grant awards and vendor contracts.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS:
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board hear the presentation by the Clerk regarding audit
2012-3 Immokalee Regional Airport Dirt.
