EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to direct the County Manager to add scheduled BCC
supplementary meeting dates on the first and third Tuesdays of each
month, (with appropriate calendar month breaks to coordinate with the
annual BCC meeting calendar), to facilitate the timely scheduling and
presentation of workshops, presentations, public meetings, and other
special meeting needs as determined by the Board. Further, authorize the
BCC Chair to prioritize placement of items on these dedicated
supplementary meeting dates for final approval by the Board at each
regular BCC meeting.
OBJECTIVE: To add supplementary BCC meeting times to the yearly calendar to
facilitate the easy scheduling of workshops, discussion of special projects, public
meetings, or special meetings as determined by the BCC.
CONSIDERATIONS: Active and complicated monthly and annual schedules present
the need for additional dedicated BCC meeting dates. Such dedicated dates will allow for
the timely scheduling of annual recurring presentations as well as affording the
opportunity for rapid scheduling of pressing or unanticipated need.
FISCAL IMPACT: No fiscal impact.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: None
