EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to reappoint member to the Immokalee Beautification MSTU Advisory
Committee
OBJECTIVE: To reappoint a member to the Immokalee Beautification MSTU Advisory
Committee to a four year term expiring on September 23, 2018.
CONSIDERATIONS: This 5 member committee was created to assist the Board of County
Commissioners in the business affairs of the Immokalee Beautification Taxing District, and
prepare and recommend an itemized budget to carry out the business of the district for each fiscal
year. Four members shall be permanent residents within the MSTU and one member may be an
owner of residential or commercial property within the MSTU or may be an individual, an
officer of a corporation, or a partner of a partnership. Terms are 4 years. A list of the current
membership is included in the backup.
Two of the terms on this committee expired on September 23, 2014. The expiring terms were
advertised and applications were received from the following interested citizens:

COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION: That Mr. Deyo be reappointed to the Immokalee
Beautification MSTU Advisory Committee to a four year term expiring on September 23, 2018.
A recommendation memo is included in the backup of this agenda item.
FISCAL IMPACT: None.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: None.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners adopts the Committee
Recommendation, and directs the County Attorney to prepare a resolution confirming the
reappointment.
