EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to donate surplus vehicles to the City of Everglades City.
OBJECTIVE: To provide the City of Everglades City with vehicles that are no longer needed for County
purposes.
CONSIDERATIONS: The County has designated a number of vehicles as surplus that the City of
Everglades City has expressed an interest in acquiring. These vehicles are identified in the attachment to
this item. Since these vehicles are no longer needed by the County, they can be put to good use by the
City of Everglades City, rather than simply auctioned.
FISCAL IMPACT: The estimated auction value of the vehicles is $20,500, which revenue the County
would lose as a result of the donation.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: The item has been reviewed by the County Attorney, is approved as to
form and legality, and requires majority vote for approval. -JAK
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management impact associated with this
item.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners authorizes the donation of the
vehicles identified on the attachment to this item to the City of Everglades City.
