EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation that the Collier County Board of County Commissioners (BCC), as the
Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA), approve a budget amendment reflecting a budget
increase in the amount of $633,739.04 related to the previously approved Disaster Recovery
Enhancement Funds (DREF) grant agreement between the BCC and the CRA.
OBJECTIVE: To receive CRA Board approval of the attached budget amendment form. This will
formalize the budgetary changes outlined in a previously approved modification to a DREF grant
agreement between the BCC and the CRA.
CONSIDERATIONS: On May 22, 2012, BCC agenda item 16(D)(3), the BCC approved the
award of DREF grant #12DB- P5- 09- 21- 01 -K39 to the CRA, as administered by the Collier County
Department of Housing, Human & Veteran Services, in the amount of $2,011,955.46 for further
implementation of the Immokalee Stormwater Master Plan.
On May 27, 2014, agenda item 16(D)(16), the BCC approved an amendment to this grant
agreement which increased the overall grant budget by $633,739.04 as outlined below in strike -
through/underline format.

FISCAL IMPACT: This is a reimbursement grant. Therefore there is no fiscal impact to CRA
Fund 186 related to this item. A Budget amendment is needed to recognize additional grant funding
in the amount of $633,739.04 in Immokalee CRA Grant Fund 715 Project 33214.1.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item is approved as to form and legality and requires a
majority vote for Board approval. - JAB
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: This grant opportunity furthers the objectives and
policies in the Immokalee Area Master Plan section of the Collier County Growth Management
Plan, as amended by Ordinance number 2008 -55, Policy 1.3.1, which states "Collier County staff
will continue to work with the Immokalee community to identify alternative funding sources to
implement programming for streetscape, linked open space and pedestrian and bicycle amenities
that are compatible with an overall development strategy ".
RECOMMENDATION: That the BCC, as the CRA, approve a budget amendment reflecting a
budget increase in the amount of $633,739.04 related to the previously approved Disaster Recovery
Enhancement Funds (DREF) grant agreement between the BCC and the CRA.
