/'*■ Recommendation to appoint a member to the Rock Road Improvement MSTU Advisory
Committee
OBJECTIVE: To appoint a member to the Rock Road Improvement Municipal Service Taxing
Unit(MSTU)Advisory Committee,to fill a vacant seat expiring on July 26,2017.
CONSIDERATIONS: This three member committee was created on June 14, 2011 by
Ordinance No. 2011-22, to aid and assist the Board of County Commissioners in providing and
maintaining roadway improvements, which may include drainage, sidewalks and street lighting.
The committee recommends work programs and priorities as well as an itemized budget required
to carry out the business of the MSTU. The Ordinance provides that two of the members shall
be permanent residents while the third may be an owner of residential or commercial property
within the MSTU or an appointed representative of a business located within the MSTU. Terms
are three years. A list of the current membership is included in the backup.
There is currently one vacant seat on this committee. The vacancy was advertised and one
application was received from the following interested citizen:

and directs the County Attorney to prepare a resolution confirming the appointment.
