EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to approve and authorize the Chairman to execute the Sovereignty Submerged
Lands Easement Modification as required to add the permit for Doctor’s Pass and Moorings Bay.
OBJECTIVE: To execute the Sovereignty Submerged Lands Easement Modification which adds the
permit for Doctor’s Pass and Moorings Bay.
CONSIDERATION: The attached Sovereignty Submerged Lands Easement is required by Florida
Department of Environmental Protection to add a permit for Doctor’s Pass and Moorin gs Bay lying in
section 28, township 49 south, range 25 east, Collier County, Florida. The attached submerged land
easement is required for the Doctors Pass dredging permit with an effective permit date from November
28, 2017 through October 2, 2030.
FISCAL IMPACT: There is no fiscal impact associated with this request.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management impact associated with this
request.
ADVISORY BOARD RECOMMENDATION: At the Coastal Advisory Committee (CAC) meeting on
February 16, 2018 this item was unanimously recommended for approval by a 7 to 0 vote.
At the Tourist Development Council (TDC) meeting on February 26, 2018 this item was unanimously
recommended for approval by an 8 to 0 vote.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item is approved as to form and legality and requires majority vote
for approval. - CMG
RECOMMENDATION: To approve and authorize the Chairman to execute the Sovereignty
Submerged Lands Easement Modification as required by FDEP to add the permit for Doctor’s Pass and
Moorings Bay.
