Recommendation to adopt a resolution to rename Freedom Park the Fred W. Coyle
Freedom Park
OBJECTIVE: That the Board of County Commissioners adopts a resolution to rename Freedom
Park, located at 1515 Golden Gate Parkway,Naples, Florida,the Fred W. Coyle Freedom Park.
CONSIDERATIONS: Commissioner Coyle has represented District 4 on the Collier County
Board of County Commissioners for 13-years. In recognition of his service, it is fitting to rename
Freedom Park, which is located in District 4,the Fred W. Coyle Freedom Park.
FISCAL IMPACT: The cost of appropriate signage, approximately $2,500.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no Growth Management impact associated with
this Executive Summary.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: The proposed resolution was drafted by the County Attorney.
This item is approved as to form and legality and requires a majority vote for approval. -JAK
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners adopts a resolution to rename
Freedom Park, located at 1515 Golden Gate Parkway, Naples, Florida, the Fred W. Coyle
Freedom Park.

RESOLUTION NO. 2014-
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA,
RENAMING FREEDOM PARK TO "THE FRED W. COYLE
FREEDOM PARK."
WHEREAS, for 13 years, Commissioner Fred Coyle has represented the residents of
District 4; and
WHEREAS, Commissioner Coyle has spent a lifetime of service to his country and his
community; and
WHEREAS, for these reasons the Board of County Commissioners desires to rename
Freedom Park to the Fred W. Coyle Freedom Park as a reminder for future generations of Collier
County residents of his work.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that Freedom Park is hereby renamed
the "The Fred W. Coyle Freedom Park" in recognition of Commissioner Coyle's service as to his
community as Collier County Commissioner, District 4.
THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED after motion, second and majority vote on this the
