EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to approve a budget amendment in the amount of $33.13
recognizing interest earned in Supervisor of Elections' 2013/2014 Federal
Election Activities Grant.
OBJECTIVE: To obtain the Board of Commissioner's approval to recognize interest earned in
the Supervisor of Elections' 2013/2014 Federal Election Activities Grant.
CONSIDERATIONS: The Division of Elections receives federal Help America Vote Act
("HAVA") funds for voter education and outreach activities, and then distributes these funds to
the Supervisors of Elections across the State. These funds, and any matching funds provided by
the County, must be placed in separate accounts and accounted for individually. Collier County
is the recipient of HAVA funds and the purpose of this executive summary is to recognize the
carry forward and the interest earned in the Supervisor of Elections 2013/2014 Federal Election
Activities Grant.
FISCAL IMPACT: Interest is being recognized in the amount of $33.13 in Supervisor of
Elections Fund 081.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item is approved for form and legality and requires a
majority vote for Board approval. -JAB
GROWTH MANAGEMENT INPACT: None
RECOMMENDATION: That the Collier County Board of County Commissioners authorizes
its Chairman to approve the budget amendment recognizing $33.13 of interest earned in the
Supervisor of Elections' 2013/2014 Federal Election Activities Grant.
