EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Request that the Board of County Commissioners approve the use of $1,000 from the
Confiscated Trust Funds to support the National Law Enforcement Museum.
OBJECTIVE: To request that the Board approve the use of$1,000 to support the National Law
Enforcement Museum.
CONSIDERATION: The National Law Enforcement Museum by virtue of Section 932.7055
(5Xc) I Florida Statutes is seeking Board authorization for the appropriation of funds for support
of the Museum. The National Law Enforcement Museum has applied to the Sheriff for
appropriation. The CCSO requests Board approval to appropriate $1,000 to support the National
Law Enforcement Museum.
Some of the purposes of the National Law Enforcement Museum are:
- The programs and activities of the Museum will serve as an important educational
purpose, providing a research clearinghouse and library for law enforcement research.
The CCSO requests $1,000 from the Confiscated Trust Funds to be used to support their
purposes.This support will benefit the National Law enforcement Museum mission.
FISCAL IMPACT:, None.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT: None.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners approves the appropriation of
$1,000 from the Confiscated T st F s for support the National Law Enforcement Museum.
