EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to appoint an alternate member to the Code Enforcement Board.
OBJECTIVE: To appoint an alternate member to the Code Enforcement Board to fill a vacant
seat expiring on February 14, 2017.
CONSIDERATIONS: This seven member quasi-judicial board, plus two alternate members, is
composed of, but not limited to, individuals representing the occupations of architect,
businessman, engineer, general contractor, subcontractor and Realtor who are considered, in part,
on the basis of experience or interest in the areas of the codes and ordinances to be enforced.
Members are required to file a Form 1 Statement of Financial Interest each year with the
Supervisor of Elections. Terms are three years. A list of the current membership is included in
the backup.
There is a current vacancy for an alternate member on this board. The vacancy was advertised
and applications were received from the following interested citizens:

RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners appoints Ms. Curley as an
Alternate in the Business category to fill the vacant term expiring on February 14, 2017, and
directs the County Attorney to prepare a resolution confirming the appointment.
