EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to appoint member to the Golden Gate Beautification Advisory
/'1 Committee.
OBJECTIVE: To appoint one member to the Golden Gate Beautification Advisory Committee
to fulfill the remainder of a vacant term which expires on October 6,2015.
CONSIDERATIONS: This five member committee was created by Ord. No. 87-78, as
amended, to advise and make recommendations to the BCC regarding the beautification and
maintenance of landscape improvements within the road right of way as described by ordinance
boundaries. The committee shall prepare an itemized budget of the amount of money required to
carry out the business of the committee for the next fiscal year. Members must be residents of
one of the following precincts: 323, 324, 325,326, 327, and part of 322. Terms are four years. A
list of the current membership is included in the backup.
There are currently two vacancies on this committee. The vacancies were advertised and
applications were received from the following interested citizens:

COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners appoint

GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: None.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners adopts the Committee
Recommendation, and directs the County Attorney to prepare a resolution confirming the
appointment.

The Golden Gate Beautification MSTU has received and reviewed one application by the
