EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to appoint one member to the Haldeman Creek Maintenance Dredging
Advisory Committee.
OBJECTIVE: To appoint one member to the Haldeman Creek Maintenance and Dredging
Advisory Committee.
CONSIDERATIONS: The Haldeman Creek Maintenance Dredging Advisory Committee, a
five member committee created on November 28, 2006 by Ordinance 2006-60, aids and assists
the Board of County Commissioners in carrying out the MSTU, prepares and recommends an
itemized budget and recommends work programs and priorities to the County Manager or
designee. Members are appointed from different parcels, subdivisions and/or communities within
the MSTU. Terms are four years. A list of the current membership is included in the backup.
There are currently two vacancies on the committee. The vacancies were advertised and
applications were received from the following interested citizens:

COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners appoints
Jack Bonzelaar, a resident of Naples Land Yacht Harbor within the MSTU, to fulfill a vacant
term expiring on March 13, 2017.
FISCAL IMPACT: None.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: None.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners adopts the Committee
Recommendation, and directs the County Attorney to prepare a resolution confirming the
appointment.
