EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to recognize and appropriate the revenues for Special Services to the Facilities
Management Department and approve necessary Fiscal Year 2013-2014 Budget Amendment.
OBJECTIVE: To recognize and appropriate Special Services Revenue in the amount of$132,200.11 for
Fiscal Year 2013-2014.
CONSIDERATION: The Department of Facilities Management is called upon to provide building
management and security when requested by various departments. Facilities Management charges all
departments for these services and is required to close purchase orders and pay invoices by the end of
Fiscal Year 2013-2014.
Facilities Management is reimbursed by departments for Special Services per the budget instructions.
This budget amendment recognizes revenue in the amount of$132,200.11.
FICAL IMPACT: Budget amendments are necessary to recognize revenue and place the revenue in the
proper expense appropriation within Fund 001,Facilities Management's Cost Centers.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management impact associated with this
Executive Summary.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been reviewed by the County Attorney's Office and
presents no legal issues. Majority vote is required for approval.—CMG
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board authorizes the necessary Budget Amendment to recognize and
appropriate revenues from Special Services in the amount of$132,200.11.
