PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS, County government functions using a complex and multifaceted
process; and
WHEREAS, local government leaders make decisions to improve the lives of all
residents and visitors of Collier County; and
WHEREAS, increasing education about the many aspects of county government
work will enhance an individual's knowledge of Collier County
Government; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable for all county residents understand the important
decisions elected officials and administrative leaders make in order to
improve the quality of life for all who reside in Collier County; and
WHEREAS, the Collier County University Extension/4-H Youth Development, and
the Collier County Public Schools have co-sponsored the Know Your
^ County Government Teen Citizenship program for 34 years.
NOW THEREFORE, be it proclaimed by the Board of County Commissioners
of Collier County, Florida, that the week of April 22, 2014, be
designated as
THE 347H ANNIVERSARY OF
KNOW YOUR COUNTY GOVERNMENT WEEK
