EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Appointment of member to Ochopee Fire Control District Advisory Committee.
OBJECTIVE: To reappoint one member to the Ochopee Fire Control District Advisory
Committee to serve a term expiring on December 31,2015.
CONSIDERATIONS: The Ochopee Fire Control District Advisory Committee had two
terms expire on December 31, 2013. This five member committee advises the Board on the
budget and operation of the Ochopee Fire Control District. Members should reside within the
taxing district. One member is appointed by the City of Everglades. Full terms are two years. A
list of the current membership is included in the backup.
The vacancies were advertised and the following application was received by interested citizen:

RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners considers the
recommendation for reappointment, reappoints one member, and directs the County Attorney to
prepare a resolution confirming the reappointment.
