EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendatlen to authorize execution of the grant award for the Collier County
Sheriff's Office FY2016 VOCA grant award in the amount of 5131,681 and appropriate a
budget amendment.
OBJECTIVE: To obtain grant funds for the Collier County Sheriff's Office Victims of Crime
Act(VOCA).
CONSIDERATION: On September 5, 2015 the Collier County Sheriffs Office received the FY2016
grant funds for the VOCA grant in the amount of$131,681. The grant requires a 25% match. On
September 24, 2015, the Board approved the Collier County Sheriffs Office Budget, including using
funding from Fund 602 (Confiscated Trust Fund)as match for some grants awards,including the VOCA
grant
FISCAL IMPACT: A budget amendment is needed in the amount of $41,000 to be able to use
Confiscated Trust Funds as the match for the VOCA grant,Project 33448.

award for the Collier County Sheriff's Office FY2016 VOCA grant (2) approves the necessary budget
amendments.
