EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to approve Tourist Tax Category "B" funding to support The National Youth
Football Alliance Florida State Championships November 27-29,2015, up to$20,000.00 and make a
finding that this expenditure promotes tourism.
OBJECTIVE: Approve funding support for managing and promoting the NYFA Florida State Championships.
CONSIDERATIONS:Collier County was recently awarded the 2015 and 2016 NYFA Florida State Championships and related
events presented by the National Youth Football Alliance(NYFA)through the successful bid submitted by the Sports Marketing
Team, we were awarded the event.There will be championship games from age divisions 6U, 8U, IOU, 12U, 14U as well as a
cheerleading competition for the respective age divisions. The Tourism Department Sports Marketing Team has brought these
events to our community,and as part of the bid award,our obligation is to fund the following costs to support the event.Through
conversations with the NYFA and the Tourism Department,the amount for funding each category below were determined.Each
event expense listed below will be paid directly to each vendor via purchase order or purchasing card upon receipt of their
invoice and necessary backup documentation.
Costs are approximate for each item,but total expense shall not exceed$20,000.00

Security for all games—Collier County Sheriff's Office $2,500.00
Total: $20,000.00
The economic impact of this event is estimated at approximately$500,000.00 in direct visitor spending in our community,600
hotel room nights and$2,592.00 in Tourist Tax revenue.This event strengthens our brand as a sports destination and a hotbed
for Youth Football.
FISCAL IMPACT: Funding in the amount of$20,000.00 for support of this event and this program is included in the FY 16
BCC approved Tourism Division budget(Fund 184)and in the BCC approved FY 16 Destination Marketing Plan.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no impact to the Growth Management Plan from this action.
ADVISORY BOARD RECOMMENDATION: The Tourist Development Council recommended approval of this item 8-0 at
the October 26,2015 meeting.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been approved as to form and legality and requires majority vote for approval.—

RSW Ground Transportation
The airport's Rental Car Service Center is located on the ground level of the parking garage.
Arriving passengers should proceed downstairs, exit baggage claim and walk across the street
to the rental car facility. Customers will walk into the service center and drive out the back -
making rental car shuttles obsolete. When returning vehicles, please follow signs for Rental Car
Return as you approach the terminal building. Parking will be located on the lower level of the
parking garage.

Fieischmann Park
This 15-Acre park has tons of green landscaping just south of the Coastland
Center Mall. The park has one lit football field with seating capacity of up to 1,000
with some shaded seats. A renovated press box, score board, locker rooms,
concession stand and sound system make events at Fleishmann enjoyable for
everyone. Fleischmann Park has recently been a host venue for FBU football
national championship games. Other Facilities located at this park are:

Event Ownership: Naples, Marco Island, Everglades Convention Visitors Bureau
recognizes that the NYFA has the right to obtain a hotel third-party booking
organization. We recommend the use of HBC Event Services who will be able to
obtain a $10 per night room rebate for each hotel room night booked payable to
the NYFA.
Event Dates: Naples, Marco Island, Everglades Convention Visitors Bureau is
proposing the weekend of November 27-29, 2015.
Parking: Parking at Fleischmann Park is free of charge and there are many spaces
for spectators and participants.
Lodging & Hospitality:
Paradise Coast has many hotels eager to serve as host hotel. Most of our hotels
are world class and within 10 miles of the proposed site. We have national chain
hotel properties and locally owned hotels located near the proposed site. Pending
your decision regarding host city, and depending on NYFA needs or hotel
preference, Naples, Marco Island, Everglades Convention Visitors Bureau can
assist with negotiating the best rates for your event. Paradise Coast has over
8,000 hotel rooms and 500 restaurants.

Marketing and Promotions Assistance
Naples, Marco Island, Everglades Convention Visitors Bureau observes that the
logo will appear in conjunction with all marketing, advertising and promotion for
the event and reserves the right to review and approve all collateral material for
the event prior to its production. The CVB also respects the right to use the NYFA
logo in conjunction with its printed information but only with approval from the
NYFA. The CVB will work with area attractions, stores and malls to provide
discounted opportunities for participating teams.

The Holocaust Museum & Education Center of Southwest Florida
• The museum promotes respect and understanding by teaching the history
and lessons of the Holocaust. With over 1,000 original photographs and
artifacts related to the Holocaust. All artifacts have been donated by local
survivors.
