EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to direct staff to take steps to improve public outreach and information
regarding Collier County Emergency Medical Services (EMS),with the goal of better
informing citizens on how Emergency Medical Services are provided in Collier County.
OBJECTIVE: To better provide information and to facilitate community and citizen
understanding of Collier County EMS and how emergency medical services are delivered in
Collier County. Also to promote fact-based community discussion and review of emergency
medicine related issues.
CONSIDERATIONS: Considerations should include but not be limited to: website
improvement and information links, public information programming and staffing, expanded
outreach to POAs, HOAs, Civic Groups, and others with information, meetings, and forums as
needed, and other initiatives as the Board may direct.
FISCAL IMPACT: Varied, based on Board approved approach. Primarily staff time.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: none
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: none
