EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to authorize budget amendments to recognize revenue and transfer funding for
projects within Transportation Capital Fund (313) (Projects 69081, 60088, 60066 and 68056.)
OBJECTIVE: For the Board of County Commissioners (Board) to authorize a budget
amendment to recognize revenue for the Countywide Pathways Program and Traffic Impact
Study Review, within the Transportation Supported Gas Tax Fund (313).
CONSIDERATIONS: Funds have been collected specifically as payment -in -lieu, project
review fees, and fair share payments from the application and monitoring process. These funds
are required to be tracked and expended for mitigation or studies on behalf of the developments
as required for monitoring conditions.
These funds were collected in fiscal year 2015 and exceeded the budgeted revenues. It is now
appropriate to recognize these revenues and transfer the funds into the following projects:

The revenue received for the Collier Boulevard Widening Project is a proportionate share
payment for the Brooks Village PUD. The payment was determined during the site development
plan review process and received and recognized in both 2007 and 2008. At the time of the
recognition the Collier Blvd Road Project 468056 was not yet set up within SAP.
Based on the above we are requesting that the proportionate share payment previously received
and recognized be moved to the appropriate project.

FISCAL IMPACT: Budget amendments are required to recognize additional revenue
exceeding FYI budgeted amounts in the amount of $128,574.40 and to move funding from both
Congestion Management Fare Project 460066 and County Wide Bikeway Project #69081
totaling $225.054.73 into the Collier Blvd Road Project 468056 within the Transportation
Supported Gas Tax Fund (313).

LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been reviewed by the County Attorney, does not
raise any legal issue and requires a majority vote for Board approval. -JAK
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management impact associated
with this Executive Summary.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board authorize a budget amendment to recognize funds in
the amount of $128,574.40, and authorize a $225,054.73 budget amendment to move funding
between various projects.
