EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to appoint a member to the Development Services Advisory Committee.
OBJECTIVE: To appoint one member to the Development Services Advisory Committee (DSAC) to a
four-year term expiring on December 14, 2021.
CONSIDERATIONS: This committee was created by Ordinance No. 93-76, as amended, to provide
reports and recommendations to the BCC to assist in the enhancement of operational efficiency and
budgetary accountability within the Growth Management Division and to serve as a primary
communication link between the Growth Management Division, the development industry and the
citizens of Collier County. This committee represents the various aspects of the development industry
such as architect, general contractor, residential or building contractor, environmentalist, land planner,
land developer, landscape architect, professional engineer, utility contractor, plumbing contractor,
electrical contractor, structural engineer, and attorney. Terms are 4 years. A list of the current
membership is included in the backup.
There is currently one vacant seat on this committee. The vacancy was advertised and applications were
received from the following:

COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION: At its regular meeting on February 7, 2018, the committee
voted to recommend that Mr. Curl be appointed to fill the currently vacant seat, to an approximate four -
year term expiring on December 14, 2021. A recommendation memo is included in the backup to t his
item.
FISCAL IMPACT: None.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: None.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners adopts the Committee
Recommendation, and directs the County Attorney to prepare a resolution confirming the appointment.
