P R O C L A M A T I O N
WHEREAS, the Naples Children and Education Foundation (NCEF), the
founding organization of the Naples Winter Wine Festival, was
established in 2001 with the vision of making a profound and
sustaining difference in the lives of children in Collier County;
and,
WHEREAS, NCEF is committed to supporting charitable programs that
significantly improve the physical, emotional, and educational lives
of underprivileged and at-risk children in Collier County; and,
WHEREAS, through its annual grants and strategic initiatives, NCEF has
supported over 40 nonprofit agencies in the community,
transforming the lives of over 200,000 children with the services
and resources they need to excel; and,
WHEREAS, NCEF’s signature fund raising event, the Naples Winter Wine
Festival, has become one of the world’s most prestigious charity
wine auctions, bringing in guest from all over the world; and,
WHEREAS, the 2018 festival generated $15.15 million for children’s
services, boosting the total amount raised to more than $176
million for children’s charities in Southwest Florida since the
inaugural event in 2001.
NOW THEREFORE, be it proclaimed by the Board of County Commissioners of
Collier County, Florida, that we recognize and honor the Naples
Children and Education Foundation for its unwavering support of
Collier County’s underprivileged and at-risk children.
